The Whole Earth Festival is now accepting applications from visual artists for a unique opportunity to showcase and create work at one of California’s most dynamic, community-centered art and sustainability festivals.
This three-day, student-organized event brings together thousands of attendees for a celebration of art, environmental consciousness, and collective engagement. We are looking for artists who are excited to contribute their craft to a collaborative, public-facing space that values creativity as a force for connection and change.
Opportunities include:
Exhibiting artwork in our curated, open-air gallery—set within the heart of the festival
Leading or co-creating a large-scale community mural, working with participants to create something lasting and impactful
Live painting and interactive art sessions, allowing artists to engage directly with a wide, curious audience
Potential for additional artist activations, to be developed in conversation with selected participants
We are especially interested in artists whose work speaks to themes of ecology, social change, cultural identity, and community building—but all perspectives and mediums are welcome. Painters, muralists, installation artists, illustrators, and interdisciplinary visual artists are encouraged to apply.
